We design and manufacture site-specific lighting fixtures. It all starts with a sketch.
Nico Baldoni was born in Buenos Aires, in a lively Italian, Spanish and Lebanese family. A born visual artist with a natural affinity for painting and sketching, Nico's fascination for urban spaces and sculpture inspired him to study architecture at the UNLP. His interest in the impact of a lighting sculpture on its spatial environment led Nico to some of his early successes such as the Adidas flagship store in Buenos Aires.
In 2005, he moved with his wife, a filmmaker, to Los Angeles and has been designing original and custom lighting since. He has designed projects for Sofitel, Hilton, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and worked with some of the most prominent design firms in the country. He has worked with some of the leading custom lighting companies before launching FORMA LUZ. Nico’s work with custom light installations has been featured in such places as Interior Design Magazine and The Chicago Tribune. His moving ARCHETTO installation—a kinetic hanging LED light sculpture of shifting vibrant colors and symphonic motion—won the prestigious GOOD DESIGN Award. Nico balances the visionary with the practical to deliver jaw-dropping results.
